@_aclassic_: @_aclassic_ saltwater story! Featuring @_pauloafonso_ I live very close to the sea, no more than 100ft from a 15mile wide channel in between my island and the one in front. This day I was in the garage/Spearfishing storage/chill out area with my kids making sure they ate lunch when I saw from the window some huge splashes in the ocean right in front of the house maybe 1/3 of a mile offshore. Kids didn’t eat anymore 😂. Called a friend of mine that lives by to drive the boat, grabbed all my gear and went out as fast as possible to the area I saw the splashing. It took a bit of searching but we eventually found the fish on huge feeding frenzy. I jumped into the action diving down immediately and trying to select one of the hundreds of giants crossing around me in all directions. Ended up shooting one at about 15m deep, mid body on the lateral and a bit lower than desired but hitting the spine. The fish was badly hurt so the fight was far from being the toughest I’ve experienced, even so it took me over an hour of clipping and pulling bungee until I got it tied to the side of the boat. Towed it to the harbor that wasn’t far away, and it went 660lb on a certified scale.
