Even though there wasn’t as much water as I had expected to see, I was still mesmerized by its beauty! Getting to this forest might be a little more difficult if you don’t have private transportation, but for nature enthusiasts like myself, it’s still worth the trek if you plan ahead of time! ⛰️  If you’re looking to get here by public transportation, then you can take Yuanlin Bus 6871 from Gancheng Station in Taichung City or Bus 6883B from Taichung HSR Station. But be aware of the bus times before you head over here, because it takes about three hours to get to the forest, leaving you with very little time to explore before having to get on the bus back down the mountain. If you have more time and money, consider doing what we did and first take Bus 6883 from Taichung HSR Station to Xitou; stay one night in Xitou and then take the first Bus 6871 from Xitou Station towards Sun-Link-Sea. And then you can take a bus back to Taichung from Sun-Link-Sea!
