Billy Hayes :
Leave the AC on year-round and adjust from cool to heat. ACs are equipped with an air dryer.

‘Work’ (1994) Video artwork (duration continuous) by Jeroen Kooijmans On the surface, the 3 men in ‘Work’ could be viewed as undertaking a seemingly pointless task. It wouldn’t matter if the men worked non-stop for a year, or did absolutely nothing at all, the mounds of dirt would be exactly the same size in both scenarios - but from another perspective, it could be that the point IS the process… a theme echoed through many works of art, as well as more meditative practices like raking stones in Zen gardens. Suddenly a seemingly pointless task can actually be about beauty, evoking a feeling, meditation, mindfulness or even endurance. On a macro level, the piece also reminded us, perhaps somewhat metaphorically, of a quote by Ellen Goodman, thats speaks to the catch 22 idea of working your fingers to the bone your whole life for a lifestyle you cant truly enjoy: “Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work, driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for, in order to get to a job that you need so you can pay for the clothes, car and the house that you leave empty all day in order to afford to live in it.” Artist Statement: “In this video film three men keep each other engaged continuously. Through working arduously they keep the cycle balanced and the treadmill of life turning.
Sleek design combined with meticulous choreography have a hypnotising effect. It immediately grabs the full attention of the spectator; it is not easy to walk away from this film.” Sources: www.jeroenkooijmans.com/portfolio/work-1994 #contemporaryart #art #artvideo #minidoc #artdocumentary #explorepage #fyp #artstories #weirdart #performanceart #videoart
