Unless you’re going into a skilled trade, there is voluminous data showing rates of employment; avg salary; net worth etc sub higher with a degree.

Yes have the discussion. My kids went to college with 22 credit hours by the time they finish HS! Paid cash for college, no loans. Discipline.
