@thatmountainlife: *Repost* - Always have a backup plan. Adia was 3 years old here. She had been pedal biking without training wheels since 2.5 years of age. (Balance bikes for the win). We had been practicing her braking for weeks leading up to this. This hill is on a campground road/path that is only 1-way. She had become proficient at braking and controling her speed on flats and other smaller slopes. This was the first signficant slope she had attempted and I beleived she could control her speed (by braking) at the start of the hill.
