I’m exhausted. ⁣ Duke is 7.5 years old. I’ve advocated for him & the breed from the time we got him. ⁣ I learned about BSL. I learned it’s not just bully breeds. There are MANY breeds included. ⁣ ⁣ Every time I take Duke out into public it’s usually the same conversations. ⁣ ⁣ It’s not “just a dog”. It’s advocating for something that doesn’t have a voice. It’s the ignorance from humans that is exhausting. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve been so nice about advocating for the breed & always try to take the kind approach. But sometimes I just want to look people in the eyes & say “Are you serious?” You seriously think my dog sitting here not making a PEEP is a threat to you or anyone around us? ⁣ So much going on in the world. I wish society would fight more for important things in life. I wish people would be less selfish. I wish people wouldn’t be so ignorant (towards many things) ⁣ ⁣ Sincerely- an exhausted bully breed mom that will continue to advocate for my dog & other dogs.
