@rosadelee: I grew up in a small town, not far from where i live now, but I worked a corporate job for years in LA that didnt align with my values or how i wanted to live my life. I didnt live extravagantly & I was able to save enough and quit after years of living a life i felt lost in. After months of searching all along the coast, i eventually found a place to move to/rent (where i live now) that made my heart glow, signed a new lease, packed up a carload of things and left the city with my savings and no plan in sight. I hope to find a local job out here within the interior decor world or at a local inn or a winery, but until then im freelancing and riding on my savings 😅 To people who say “i wish i could do that but $$” — money wise, i am saving about $600 (on rent alone, not even factoring in lifestyle) by moving out here. I downsized a lot, but to me its worth it. I dont have kids so i dont have that expense either. I lived somewhat frugally for years and saved enough while working my corporate job. All that aside, I do realize i have privilege. I dont take this reality for-granted. Please stay kind to one another, lets support each other and our dreams 🤍
