@ben_yanes: Although pain & discomfort are complex topics that involve a multitude of influences from different systems, there are certain force scenarios that more often seem to give more discomfort (on average) than others. As a general rule, I’m not a fan of shoving one’s joints into passive ranges - ranges that are not under our active control, but the control of the external resistance acting on us.
