Last time we walked with my Daschund ,and a Great Dane dog walked beside us with his owner without a muzzle.It almost attacked my Daschund and me.😭

Number 5 is wrong because when you do that the it helps the dog detect your scent and see it they feel safe around you

When I greet dogs I just stay standing upright and talk with the owner and they can come smell and if they don’t come smell me I sit down like 2 meters away from it so it has a choice to come to me

I let people pet my dog but if I don’t trust them I’ll just tell him he is still in training when he barks (he is a service dog in training) I also do not pet other dogs unless I ask

so I do allow them to smell me if they want but I'll hold out my hand at a distance and see if they want me to pet them.
