LISBON TOP 7 . I just got back from my trip to Portugal. Madalina and I have a tradition of getting away for Thanksgiving each year. Portugal is such a beautiful country with simple but crazy good food. Many of you asked for my recommendations, so, here it is! 7: Manteigara -This café has the best Pastel de Nata in Lisbon. These little baked custard desserts are a delicious treat to stop and grab while walking around the city. We enjoyed them with double espresso and of course Port wine. . 6: Rosamar This was a fantastic restaurant in the Bairro Alto neighborhood. The food was super fresh, the seafood was exceptional, and the menu was full of creative flavor and texture twists. . 5: Rocco If you’re looking for a more elevated dinner, the setting of this restaurant in Chiado is just spectacular (the bathrooms are a must see). And of course, the food was a 10/10. Grab a seat at the bar instead of the dining room. . 4: Java Rooftop This is a must-go. An amazing spot to soak in a panoramic view of the city, relax, and really enjoy a drink. . 3: Monsaraz Just 2 hours from Lisbon, this “medieval village near the sky” makes for a perfect day trip. You’ll see olive trees and cows on the route from Lisbon. And the views are magnificent from the top. . 2: The Alentejo Region of Portugal in general is just breathtaking. We stayed at the Torre de Palma Hotel for a night which was super peaceful. Think wine, olive trees, horses, cows, and views! . 1: Taberna Sal Grosso My absolute favorite little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Lisbon. The space is tiny (you’re literally bumping shoulders) but the food makes it worth it. We had an amazing cabbage dish, garlicky shrimp, and the pillowy eggplant over smoked yogurt was my favorite dish of the entire trip. Yum. . . ENJOY. . . . . #portugal #portugal🇵🇹 #lisbon #lisbonportugal #lisbonfood #travel
