my 23 streetglide special keeps disconnecting. Bought a Bluetooth toggle and pluged in it's works perfect with no connectivity issues.

Apple car play has to detect a mic is present to work , when a whim is installed and the headset is connected to that this allows Apple car play

Apple wants it to be hands free. That’s why a mic is required. But the adapter makes it think it has a mic.
