How about we focus on GBV, Corruption, Crime, Joblessness, Poverty, failing infrastructure. Tabacco and Alcohol's Sin Taxes, brings in billions of rands to the government, money that should be used to social grants and the upliftment of citizens. The Tabacco and Alcoholic products market employs millions of people from Marketing, advertising, events, sponsorships, to store owners,retail staff, cashiers, bar staff, print, logistics.. if the EFF and government wants to ban these, the market will react and jobs will be cut... make it make sense. Also who's fault is it that people make bad choices, and over indulge. Also it's not the advertising of alcohol that's the the problem, people drink because they are depressed, because they want to escape the horrible situations THE GOVERNMENT put them in. Where there is poverty and depression, there is crime, violence, drug use, and alcoholism...stopping advertising won't stop people drinking... Also it is my life and body, if I decide to smoke, and drink in a safe or designated space where I don't harm others, that's my choice... why must we be punished for irresponsible people
