Leave a #♻️ if you agree! 🤭 I was captivated by the beauty of the spider chrysanthemums on display at my local farmers market. 😍 However, it wasn’t until they retrieved the quantity I wanted from the back to wrap them up that I noticed the buds were encased in plastic covers to protect the delicate flowers. 😱 This was rather disappointing, as I hadn't anticipated this and felt overwhelmed and uneasy about canceling my order, especially since they were about to close and had kindly brought out the already stored flowers just for me. 😔I remained frustrated by the ecologically unsound choice made by the producers, questioning whether a variety like this should even exist if its blooms can only be protected during transport by encasing them in plastic. 😬 I later discovered from a florist that paper covers were once used, but due to higher costs, flower farmers have since switched to plastic. 😩 🫣 I always believed that purchasing flowers at the farmers market would be a more sustainable choice, assuming that their bulk orders and homegrown produce would involve less plastic packaging compared to what you'd find in a flower shop or supermarket 🫣 I usually make #relaxing #cozy #calming #comforting #cottagecore content and apologise for this #fuckplastic TikTok 😇 #waste #satisfying #flowers #flowerarrangement #flower #chrysanthemum #spiderchrysanthemum #Sustainability #slowliving #environmentallyfriendly #slowlife #fyp
