What about a warranty for a Land Rover? I was going to buy a 2023 Land Rover with 46,400 miles on it. Powertrain runs out at 50 and they were trying to sell me an overall extended warranty for $21,000 on top of the price of the car. I walked because I knew they were trying to scam me. I would love some information from you on how much that should actually cost.

I drive to much. If I get a Kia or American car or Nissan I get a warranty. If it’s a Toyota or Honda I take my chances. Ford warranty cost $3800…It saved me 8k so far.

PLEASE - The correct word is insurance, NOT warranty! If we use the correct word, they'd sell fewer, and customer expectations would be more realistic.

Shop for warranty from dealer outside the state. You can get better offers and coverage out of state. Some state regulate warranties and hurt customer

A fully funded rainy day fund provides more peace of mind than any warranty. However, I usually make sure I’m covered by a powertrain warranty while I have a car note out so I’m not making payments on a car I can’t drive.

i bought an extended toyota warranty from the dealership for my toyota corolla cross xle. 3.5k financed (i just wanna build my credit more) for 125k miles/10yrs . i don’t think i’ll keep the car more than 15 yrs…do you think it’s worth it? pretty much seems to cover anything besides normal wear and tear. i’ve never had such a tech filled car (back camera, lane steering, wireless phone charger, etc.) so im unsure. usually wouldn’t say yes…but since im going to own the car…is it worth to buy the insurance since i plan on getting routine maintenance every 5-8k miles
