🚨 YOUR HAIRSTYLIST MIGHT NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS ABOUT TJ MAXX… 🚨 As a professional hairstylist with 21+ years in the beauty industry, I already know this video is probably going to make some hair professionals uncomfortable… and honestly, I understand why. Stylists work hard to recommend professional products to their clients, and selling retail is part of how many salons stay in business. But I also believe you deserve to know that professional hair care does not have to mean paying full salon retail prices. 👏🏼 When I was in beauty school, we were taught that if you saw professional hair products at places like TJ Maxx, Marshalls or other discount retailers, they were probably diverted products, potentially old, counterfeit, tampered with, or somehow different from what you would purchase inside a salon. I believed that for years because that was what I was taught. But after doing my own research, I’ve learned that the reality can be much more nuanced. Discount retailers can carry brand-name beauty and hair care products through surplus inventory, overstock, closeouts, packaging changes, discontinued items, excess inventory and other legitimate distribution channels. That doesn’t automatically mean the product is fake or dangerous simply because you didn’t buy it at a salon. And yes — inventory sitting longer can mean a product may be older than something freshly stocked at a salon, so check the packaging, condition, seals and expiration/PAO information when applicable. But I don’t believe women should be made to feel ashamed or afraid because their hair-care budget doesn’t allow them to spend $25, $30, $40+ on every single product sitting on their bathroom shelf. In this TJ Maxx shopping trip, I found Bed Head, Joico, Paul Mitchell, Nioxin, Divi, It’s a 10, Biosilk, Batiste, Wet Brush, Sebastian and so much more. 😳 And this is exactly why I wanted to make this video: you have options. After 21+ years behind the chair, I can tell you that there are products I absolutely believe are worth paying more for — and there are other products where I personally think you can get excellent results without paying full salon retail price. My goal isn’t to tell you that every salon product is overpriced or that every TJ Maxx product is a better deal. My goal is to teach you how to shop smarter for your hair. And PLEASE don’t let anyone make you feel bad about what you can afford. ❤️ Whether you’re shopping at a salon, Ulta, a beauty supply store, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target, Walmart or wherever fits your budget, your hair doesn’t know what you paid for the bottle. There ARE situations where certain hair products, ingredients, treatments or chemical services can conflict with one another — especially when you’re talking about bleach, permanent color, relaxers, keratin/smoothing treatments and other chemical services. That’s why if you’re going to have a chemical service performed, tell your stylist exactly what you’ve been using on your hair. Your stylist can evaluate your hair history and determine what services can be performed safely. What I DON’T want is women being scared into thinking they have to spend hundreds of dollars on hair products just to have healthy, beautiful hair. 💕 You deserve choices. So whether you have thick hair, fine hair, thin hair, curly hair, wavy hair, straight hair, color-treated hair, blonde hair, brunette hair, damaged hair, dry hair, oily hair, frizzy hair or textured hair, I want to help you find hair-care solutions that actually work AND make sense for your budget. Consider this your permission slip to shop smarter, not more expensively. 💰✨ And if you want more professional hair-care advice from someone who’s spent more than two decades behind the chair, follow along because we’re going shopping. 👀🛒 @TJ Maxx #HairCare #HairTok #TJMaxxFinds #ProfessionalHairCare #HairProducts
