@thewanderingafro: You can see West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia when you reach The Point at Harper’s Ferry. The Maryland Heights Trail is only aroubf 2 hours away from Washington, DC and provides one of the most scenic views in the DMV. It took about 1.5 - 2 hours to get to the overlook and i would considerate it a moderate hike. It’s solo hike friendly because its super busy. I would advise getting ariund 8 to beat the crowds. End your trip by visiting one of the quaint restaurants in town.
