Full ROM until full ROM is no longer possible then crank out long length partials to failure

Maybe thats why prisoners get jacked with short ROM pushups

How do you count these long length partials?

these studies were done on newbies btw. you can only expertise extra muscle growth from stretch mediated hypertrophy for a little while. after that, it just means more fatigue.

I don’t watch Jeff nippard and I haven’t reviewed any of the studies you mentioned. With that said, “training exclusively with lengthened partials from now on” seems like a bad idea if the studies are your typical resistance training studies with short time spans, limited number of muscles monitored, untrained individuals, and confounding variables.
Go ahead and try it if you want, but be aware there is a very real possibility you come back here in a year or two and post that you don’t understand why you’ve made limited progress while following the “science.”

so say you only trained in lengthened partials… does that mean youd still use a weight that you could do full ROM with

If i start doing more partial reps should I lower my sets for that muscle

If you’re doing 80% ROM and finishing to failure with partials then it makes sense to me. Because you’re getting in more damage

I use them because I get mad if I hit a weird number of reps 💀

I wonder if the studies controlled for previously reaching near failure reps where max stimulation happens. It stands to reason that if you start

Do you really believe that doing partials at the top range of a pull down is beneficial due to the lats pore leverage in that position?

This might explain the video I watched where they found people doing partials grew bigger calves

they may possibly be better for muscle growth however full rom is overall better factoring in major elements such as injury, intensity, and overall strength.
doing shorter reps makes you more susceptible to injury because your muscle isn't being moved in its natural range. because the reps are shorter so is your time under tension meaning your intensity will drop. Also your strength will now be isolated to that range and full rom strength will obviously decrease which could potentially circle back into injury.

both works well, its just doing full rom especially locking out makes u lift heavier than long length partials. u need full control in long length partials in pressing movements
