@markmarshalllsh: We was getting a lot of questions asking how we secure our posts down. This is exactly how we do it. #gardentok #festiveseason #longvideo

why not have the posts go through the porcelain into a well of cement?

I have no doubt CT1 is strong, but there is no way you can compare to a weld. 300n/cm vs circa 10-15kn/cm.

It's only as strong as the tile is stuck to the ground 🤷‍♂️🙈

no need to clean the concrete before applying adhesive...great product, sticks to dirt and dust..🤔

it's as strong as the surface it's bonded to...if the face of the slab can delaminate then it's that strength

CT1 is a life saver. Our lads bond basins to some studded walls and they set like concrete 👌🏼

for everyone: lift the pole so that it doesn't contact the ground and don't be afraid to use screws, and not this glue.

CT1 is great stuff but in no way shape or form is it as strong as a weld. Give me a hammer and bolster, I'm taking that bracket off in a couple hits.

Surely the tiles are not rated at 300nm per cm though so even if the bond us starting to the tile, it risks just pulling the tile up?

so the entire gazebo is basically held by the tile grout I would have anchored to the slab and cut tile around columns

The uplift pressure on that gazebo in high winds would far exceed this. CT1 is a great product but the tiles will just go with it.

Al yield is 276 MPa, less say half for weld gives 138 MPa or 13800 N/ cm^2. 300N/cm^2 is 1/46th of strength of an aluminium weld ?

There's not enough weight in those tiles to hold the gazebo down in wind. Know it's not your patio but sometimes it's best to tell a customer no.

Or concrete in a metal shoe and put the post in it . we get winds that rip trees out the ground chap you basically got a sail there stuck to slabs .

Tile comes lose or cracks, don’t do it this way, do it the right way using a stirrup drilled into the cement foundation.

CT1 is strong. But it wouldn’t fail on the ct1. It would simply delaminate the porcelain or the end grain of timber. I’d 100% screw that bracket down
