Malcolm Gladwell talks about the 10,000 hour rule, which implies that achieving true expertise in any skill requires 10,000 hours of deliberate practice. Depending on how you spend your days, this can be anywhere from 3-10 years. Now I’m not saying it will take 10 years to master trading, but it will depend on how consistent and disciplined you are, how much screen time you get, your trading strategy, etc. I’m pushing 4 years and I still feel like I have a lot to learn. Bottom line is, anything worth having won’t come easy. So keep learning and keep pushing.
