What about when they’re 3 nearly 4, very capable of ripping it straight off their head as soon as you put it on which then causes a worse tantrum😫 I try distracting him but it’s non stop all day everyday and it’s so physically emotionally mentally destroying to watch 😭

My brother is 3 and hes had to wear a helmet for him hurting himself before. He used to see his mom bang her head into the ground so I was wondering if he was doing that because he’s seen it. We took his toys away and he started throwing a tantrum and he started to bang his head on the floor. We also put him on timeout and he would tell my grandma that he was going to hurt himself if he goes on timeout. We have tried talking to him and asked doctors and people and looked it up but we just don’t know what to do. Does he need some kind of therapy or is there even anything we can do to help him stop wanting to hurt himself when he’s angry?
