They may simply be postponing the decision because they don’t feel confident enough to make it. Think about it like this. A woman wanted to hire a caterer for her daughter’s birthday. She asked for the price, received the package details, and said, “I’ll get back to you.” No response. The caterer waited. After three days, she could have sent: “Hello ma, just checking if you’re still interested.” Or even: “Please let me know if you’ve changed your mind.” But instead, she used a different approach. She sent: “Hi, I know you’re probably comparing different options for the birthday. If you’re still planning for the date, I can also help you choose a package based on your guest size and budget, so you don’t pay for what you don’t need.” That changed everything. The client responded, they continued the conversation, and the deal eventually went through. What made the difference? She stopped chasing an answer and started reducing the client’s uncertainty. And here’s the interesting part. After the deal was done, she sent me a message and told me that the approach she used came from The Client Code e-book she had gotten from me. She said it was one of the first deals she had won after applying what she learned from the book. That was when I realized again: sometimes, getting the client isn’t about sending more messages. It’s about knowing what to say when the client becomes uncertain. When a client goes silent, don’t immediately ask: “Are you still interested?” First ask yourself: “What question might still be unanswered in their mind?” Then address that question. Don’t chase the client. Give them a reason to feel clearer, safer, and more confident about moving forward.
