Why choose Arctic Road Trips for your aurora hunt? 💚 Because when you’ve travelled thousands of kilometres to see the northern lights, the decisions your guide makes matter. When to leave. Which direction to drive. Whether to wait or move. Whether that gap in the clouds is worth changing the entire plan for. That’s the work behind the photos you see here. Hours studying weather maps, comparing forecasts and searching for somewhere the sky might open. And honestly? It frustrates me to see aurora hunting sold like a conveyor belt. Fill the bus, follow the timetable, stop at a crowded location, take everyone back. Your dream deserves more effort than that. I built Arctic Road Trips because chasing the aurora is what I love. I still want to be outside when the sky explodes. I still get excited when a difficult forecast turns into a chance. And sharing that moment with our guests makes all the work worthwhile. We’re a small team of passionate hunters. We keep our groups small because we want to know the people travelling with us, answer their questions and have the flexibility to adapt. Sometimes the best chance is close to Rovaniemi. Sometimes it means a long drive, changing direction or crossing into Sweden or Norway. Our decisions come from the conditions that night. Of course, a long drive alone doesn’t make a good guide. Knowing when to go, where to go and when the chances simply aren’t good enough matters just as much. We can’t control the clouds or promise an aurora. But we can take the planning seriously, be honest with you and put real effort into the hunt. I have no interest in building a business where filling seats becomes more important than the experience of the people sitting in them. If you’re choosing an aurora tour, ask questions. How big is the group? How flexible is the route? What happens when the weather is bad? Who is actually taking you out? You deserve to know what you’re booking. And if you want to come chasing with me and the Arctic Road Trips team, send me a DM with AURORA. Let’s find your moment under the northern sky. 🌌
