@gainsbydre: How to Stay on Track Over the Holidays 🦃🎄 🦃 Don’t use “The Holidays” as an excuse to slack off for months - The “Holidays” is really 2-5 days max over a 2 month period where you’ll be off plan - Don’t let just a few days set you back months 🦃 Make it about family, not just food - Have your mindset going into the holidays be about using the time to cherish moments with loved ones - Do not view it as a time to just eat whatever you want - Food is a part of it, but not the entire point of it 🦃 Start your morning strong - In the mornings of a holiday like Thanksgiving/Christmas, have a clean breakfast where you prioritize protein & fiber. Eat veggies/fruits throughout the day before the big meal 🦃 Stay on top of your water consumption and stick to zero calorie drinks - The water intake will keep you from over indulging on food - Don’t add unnecessary calories from sodas, snacks or alcohol if you don’t need to 🦃 Stay active! - Get a workout in early in the day, maybe bring a family member with you to bond over something you’re passionate about -Go for walks with family and pets after your big meals 🦃 Use the food as fuel! - Rearrange your workout split to hit your highest priority muscles the day after your big meals 🦃 Don’t compensate - The day before and after a holiday, stick to your plan the way you have been - Don’t try to compensate with more cardio or eating less.
