It’s been a full month. A full month since the last donation came through for medical care. A full month of us saying “we’ll figure it out” while the feed bill, the vet bill, the shavings bill, and the pharmacy bill all kept coming. Our Sanctuary runs on donations. That’s not a tagline — it’s the truth. We don’t have grants. We don’t have corporate sponsors. We have you. And for 30 days, it’s been quiet. The horses don’t know that. Gideon still needs his wound cleaned twice a day. That’s $20 in bandages, every single day. Mercy still needs her nebulizer every 3 hours to keep the pneumonia from drowning her. That’s $600 this week alone. Faith is still on refeeding, 6 tiny meals a day, because one big one could kill her. That’s $900 a month just to bring her back safely. And yesterday, we picked up Hope — dumped, lame, and terrified. She needs x-rays before we even know if she can be saved. None of them stopped needing us because the donations stopped coming. We’re tired. We’re stretching every dollar. We’re reusing vet wrap when we can. We’re holding off on our own groceries so they can have soaked hay pellets. But we can’t do vet care on “tired.” We can’t pay the hospital with “we tried.” We can’t buy antibiotics with shares and prayers, as much as we feel every single one. This is the part where rescues close their gates. This is the part where good people have to say “we can’t take another emergency” because the math doesn’t work. We’re not there yet. But we’re close. If you’ve ever shared a post, if you’ve ever said “I wish I could help,” this is the moment. We need you now. What keeps us open another week: $4,500 $1,200 emergency vet + hospital hold for the next crisis $900 antibiotics, banamine, ulcer meds for 4 medical cases $800 wound care + respiratory supplies $700 refeeding + special nutrition for starvation cases $900 hay, grain, shavings — the basics that keep everyone alive $10 feeds one horse for a day. $50 covers one bandage change. $250 pays for blood work that tells us if a horse is crashing. No amount is too small when zero has been the number for 30 days. Please donate to Our Sanctuary — link in bio. If you can’t donate, please share. Comment. Tag someone. The algorithm has been burying us, and these horses can’t afford to be invisible right now. They didn’t choose to be dumped, starved, or sick. But they did get lucky enough to land here. Help us prove that luck wasn’t a mistake. We’ve shown up for them every day this month. Please help us show up tomorrow. #DonationNeeded
