I think most US households have the parade on in the background while starting cooking but I don’t remember ever like focused watching it.

There is The Tournament of Roses Christmas Parade- the floats are both elaborate and beautiful- and made from flowers, organic materials only. Enjoy!

All cities everywhere have tree lightenings. Christmas fairs. Florida’s has a lot of boat light parades. Haven’t been here for Christmas yet

I’m 51 and as a kid the Macy’s day parade was absolutely tradition and we all watched until Santa arrived!! My kids(28, 20 & 19) are not as into it!

Huge part of my childhood. The Macy’s parade is on in the background every Thanksgiving even now in my 40s.

They have giant warehouses that they keep all the floats and balloon’s in. It’s free to go tonand Macys department store ps pays for it.

It’s not easy being green :
There’s actually a movie called Miracle on 34th Street originally made in 1947 and then remade in 1994 all about the parade. Cute movie!!

Liked it as a kid. Was designed for people on the parade route. Now it’s for a TV. Rose parade on New Year’s Day - all floats a covered in flowers.

Your local town might also have a parade that you could attend! Macy’s is the largest one but many cities and towns do them as well and they are free!
