So today, I want to offer the secret for how leaders can easily come up with big ideas. The secret to coming up with big ideas and innovative thinking is that you don’t do it yourself. Your job as a leader is NOT to be the biggest, most creative thinker in the room. Your job is to get the big ideas “thought of”… not to think of them all yourself. Use your resources. Get clear on the objectives. Pull your people together. Brainstorm. Mine your organization locally or globally for best practices. And then use that to make recommendations that fulfill your objectives and drive the business. OK… this isn’t all on you.
