I’ve hated my body since I was 16 years old That’s almost half my life. For 14 years I was trying to get myself to be the smallest version of me. Trying diet after diet eating less and less getting more frustrated with every new diet I tried and failed But what also happened as I was trying to physically make myself smaller is I made my confidence shrink more and more what started as “I want to be thinner” quickly turned into making myself the smallest version of myself, not only physically but in all aspects of life I became less outgoing, wouldn’t speak up even if I had something to say

I let people walk all over me, let their judgements about me rule how I felt and I would not for the life of me try something out of my comfort zone Because going out of my comfort zone would mean I’d grow and take up more space Until one day I finally had enough enough of being small while the women I admired were taking up space unapologetically “Why can’t I do that?! What is so different about me?!”

The answer is - nothing opportunity to grow So instead of staying in, doingmy high intensity home workouts to burn as many calories as possible so I could become smaller I signed up for the gym and started lifting weights to become stronger and build muscle Instead of eating as little as I possibly could, I started fueling my body to perform in the gym, get stronger and have more energy Instead of trying to become invisible, I now walk past a mirror seeing myself and letting myself be seen. I went from hating my body for half my life to treating myself with self love and letting myself grow. If you are in a similar situation I’ve been in - it’s okay to take up space, to want to be seen and see yourself It’s okay to let yourself get strong, give yourself opportunity to grow, be confident and proud of yourself 🧡 #selfconfidence #losefatgainmuscles #losefatbuildmuscle #loseweightgainmuscle #loseweightbuildmuscle
