@bratbustersparenting: Don't praise Good Behaviour or use Reward Charts Good behaviour is just a baseline, i.e., the expected, not something you want to go out of your way to praise. BUT … you should often be saying things like, “Boy I’m lucky to have such great kids!”, “I’m so proud of you”, etc. Not just because they were good in the moment, but because you focus on the good kid overall, not just the little things they do. I don’t like reward charts at all. They send the message: “You’re normally rotten but if you should happen to do something good, you’ll get a reward.” Yup, I’m going to get some pushback on this one as it makes sense in my head but I know I’m not explaining it effective … oh well :). If you’re child has adhd, rewarding is actually a good thing. This is only applicable for kids who don’t have behavioural challenges

this information is NOT universal and extremely detrimental to many families and kids. 100% disagree

Totally agree… 👍 soon not everyone will validate them.. then they’ll force validation .. may not receive it - punish those who don’t validate them

dislike behaviour charts. 3 kids this is impossible. 2 out of three are good all the time, the 3rd with adhd def never works.low self esteem etc

How would you teach a toddler that their behaviour is good to teach them the difference?

This reminded me of the daycare I use to work at, always made kids have colors for the day most the time everyone was red… I felt bad for them

I’m trying to get access to your behavior chart but the website won’t let me see it. Am I doing something wrong?

My 4 year old out of nowhere is getting angry while at school. He wasn’t like this at the start, don’t know the reason for the sudden behaviour
