‼️ PLEASE SHARE ‼️ I never thought I’d have to post something like this, but I feel like I’m out of options. I’m sharing my experience with Crunch Fitness in Hixson in hopes that it raises awareness and helps me finally get this resolved. When the gym first opened, I joined because it was a great fit for me and my son, thanks to their Kids Crunch program. We went almost daily! Unfortunately, they later shut down the kids’ program, which meant the gym no longer worked for me as a single mom who has my son 95% of the time. I went online to cancel my membership and noted the reason as the closure of Kids Crunch. Shortly after, I received a voicemail from a manager saying she was going to go ahead and cancel my membership. I didn’t think anything else about it—until months later when I noticed they were still charging my account. I tried calling several times and got excuse after excuse, like “the manager is working out,” and promises that they’d call me back (which never happened). When I finally spoke to someone, they told me they didn’t cancel my membership because I didn’t return their call. However, their voicemail clearly stated they were going to go ahead and cancel it, so I didn’t think a call back was necessary. The assistant manager asked me to send them the voicemail, so I did. Again, I heard nothing back, and they’re still billing me! Today, I finally had enough and drove to the gym. I spoke to the assistant manager, Matt Woods, and let him know I’d be recording the interaction (which I have on video). He was dismissive, refused to refund me, and claimed the only person who could issue a refund was “the franchise.” When I asked for their contact info, he said, “There isn’t one.” When I asked for the owner’s name, he responded, “We don’t disclose that.” This has been going on for over a year now. I’ve done everything I can to resolve this, but I’m being ignored, dismissed, and told I’m not getting my money back. I’ve tried to handle this privately, but I feel like this is my last option. This is terrible business practice, and the way they’ve handled it is beyond unacceptable. If you’re considering Crunch Fitness in Hixson, PLEASE think twice. I’m asking anyone who reads this to share my story and help me get the word out. Hopefully, the right person sees this, and I can finally get the refund I deserve. Thank you for taking the time to read this—it means more than you know.
