But hospitality is about more than executing the steps of service correctly. It’s about making people feel known, remembered and genuinely cared for. Restaurant operators track labor cost, food cost, sales, average check and table turns constantly. We should be paying just as much attention to how many guests actually come back. Because getting someone through the door once is marketing. Giving them a reason to keep coming back is hospitality. The restaurants that win long term won’t just be the ones serving great food. They’ll be the ones that create relationships, build guest loyalty and make people feel like they belong.
