@codyjayartistry: Ferrets are really really good at hiding illnesses. He's been completely fine and lively and tonight just suddenly went flat, started drooling, and wasn't responsive. Went to the exotic animal emergency vet and they had to stabilize him immediately. Diagnosis is Insulinoma, which is pretty common in ferrets. So they gave him fluids, steroids and medication via catheter. He's already running around being crazy haha. He will have to take medicine twice per day the rest of his life and have follow ups every 6 weeks or so to monitor the benign tumor to make sure it doesn't change/get worse. #codyjayartistry #ferretlove #ferrets #ferretdad
