I added a gantry that lowers the router to avoid bend… I choose to use that over my CNC for planing.

what is the movement like, does the router sled move vertically alot whilst cutting instead of horizontally due to the vertical rods system.

you need to drop it down to the base of the cross rails. i also shimmed up my base rails so I could use think pieces.
