Isolation is a self-induced coping mechanism to deal with excessive amounts of anxiety. People who struggle with PTSD especially have a hard time with isolation as they do whatever it takes to avoid that traumatic experience from their past. HOW WE CAN USE SELF-CARE TO FIX THIS- Engagement in relaxing activities that relieve stress such as exercising, stretching/yoga, reading, listening to music, meditation and prayer, journaling. Having a set routine for yourself to follow. Tol promote a sense of purpose and normalcy. Developing healthy habits to have enough nutrition, sleep, physical activity, to benefit both your physical and mental body. Stay in touch with people that you care the most for (family, friends).
