@masondixonacres: With shorter days, less fresh greens, and limited bugs to snack on, we find that our chickens sometimes get bored in the winter months. Here are some fun ways to entertain your chickens during the colder months: 1️⃣ Add leaves or mulch to their run and fill it with treats or scratch-like feed 2️⃣ Let them free range outside of the run 3️⃣ Put them in the garden to explore and scratch around 4️⃣ Build new roosting areas or add stumps to their run 5️⃣ Grow Fodder 6️⃣ Make suet or garland treats 7️⃣ Hang a cabbage or a bunch of kale in the run My favorite way is adding leaves or mulch to their run!
