@crimeatyourfingertips: A teenage girl who ran away with her older boyfriend is accused of murd3ring his mother with a rock after giving him an ultimatum to k*ll her or lose her. Kaitlyn Coones, 17, from Cleveland, Ohio, is accused of murd3ring Nicole Jones, 53, days after she left her foster home to be with her boyfriend Jonathan Jones, 33. She was said to have given Jones - who had previously been convicted over his relationship with underage Coones - 5 hours to k*ll his mom, who disapproved of their illegal relationship. The pair fled across the border to Mexico in April, sparking an urgent manhunt by the US Marshals. They were tracked into Mexico before finally being found in Ahumada, Chihuahua, nearly a month later in May, where they were both taken into custody. Now, the teenager has been charged with murd3r & tampering with evidence. Prosecutors allege Coones gave Jonathan an ultimatum to k*ll his mother because she felt she was interfering in their 'relationship'. Coones told him he had 5 hours to carry out the kill*ng & when he failed to do so - even after giving him an extra hour - decide to do it herself. 'Kaitlyn had told Jonathan, that they needed to do something about his mother because she was preventing them from being together & she gave him 5 hours to do something about her & at 1 point in the interview, she even mentioned to kill*ng her,' said Detective Albright with Sylvania Township in court on Friday. Prosecutors say Coones became so frustrated with Jones' inaction she carried out the cold blooded murd3r. 'She went outside retrieved a rock & when Nicole Jones was standing in front of the refrigerator in the kitchen, unaware of Kaitlyn's presence bludge0ned Nicole Jones a number of times & strangl3d her,' said Lucas County Prosecutor Andy Lastra. Jones was allegedly sitting in the living room at the time while the brutal act was carried out. The pair headed to a couple of stores in Jones' car where they purchased tarp & trash bags to wrap the body & clean up the bloody scene in the kitchen. Nicole's body was placed in Jones' car which was driven to a nearby apartment complex & tossed into a dumpster that was ultimately taken to landfill. Police say it is unlikely Nicole's body will ever be found. The 2 suspects quickly headed south & drove across the border to Mexico, where they were eventually arrested. In court on Friday, prosecutors said Canton Police had contacted Sylvania Township Police in May in order to check in on the welfare of Nicole Jones. It came after they received word from a foster home where Coones had been living the teen had texted a nurse saying she had kill3d 2 people & was on the run. They told police a 17-year-old foster child in the custody of Stark County Children Services who was living at a group home was missing. They said the teen, Coones, allegedly sent a text message to a group home nurse saying she kill3d 2 people & that she was on the run. In an interview with the FBI, Coones provided detailed statements & admitted to the kill*ng of Nicole Jones. Her details of where the body had been dumped matched GPS information that was tracked to Jonathan Jones phone & watch. Coones attorney, Ann Baronas, said that the teenage was a victim of Jonathan Jones who was not supposed to have had any contact with her. #truecrime #crimetiktok #crimejunkie #crimejunkies #truecrimetiktok #crimetok #crime #truecrimepodcast #truecrimecommunity #truecrimeaddict
