home depot pvc fittings fit in each other. A 1" coupling will fit tight over a 3/4 fitting. Try next on a gangster fix 👊

Nice, I’ve always been told to never put brass into plastic because when it contracts and expands it cracks the fitting

looks like the threads are buried, maybe a couple more wraps of Teflon, and one or two less revolutions of the valve.

Never add lubricant (pro dope) when screwing brass fittings into pvc as stated by the manufacturer
