@mermaid.kayleigh: Little nosey up from this queen. Its always a bit more difficult to redirect a tiger shark when they begin to lift their head out of the water. Being both above & below the surface can be hard to keep your eyes on the animal with bubbles etc. This is why I will get a good grip on the nose of the shark and hold on until I know visually that its a good time to let go. Because of a tiger sharks big square head they make a good candidate to redirect by hand. With majority of shark species we always recommend with your fins or camera if possible & use your hands as a last resort. Some tiger sharks will turn off when you put your fins toward them but some will barrel right through because of their size & strength. You can try to use your fins first but expect you may need to push them away.
