That is sad. My kids school does awards based on goals the kids have decided on in class. It’s awesome seeing kids get those smaller goal awards

We have student of the month, every student gets one in a year. It’s lovely they all gets celebrated and get to go up on stage etc

My child's school doesn't do school awards and never has. I actually like that they don't.The kids are recognised for their achievements in other ways

When my child gets an award on the spelling test they worked hard for & the school bully gets one for helping pick up balls with the rest of the class

As a teacher the spare books annoy us too! I try and send them home early so you aren’t forking out $ in the next book pack for stuff they don’t need!
