Usually pickles are refrigerated to keep crunch. The vinegar in the brine would prevent mold.

if a bag puffs up, its due to bacteria build up. never buy puffy bags of anything, unless its something like chips or non-perishable

As long as the package is not open they should be fine like Jared pickles that are not refrigerated as long as the seal is not broken they will last

I’ve never seen them on shelves—they aren’t packaged in the brine like a regular pickle so I’d be leery of their shelf stable-ness 🫣

They’re definitely shelf stable as far as not going bad, but it’s a quality issue. I left one in my pantry for at least 3 weeks and it was fine.
