Here are some ways you can help your baby make the connection: 🗣️ Use exaggerated tones and facial expressions as you talk to your child. 👉 When you hear them babble the word for a parent, point to that parent and say, “Yes, Mama!” or “Yes, Dada!” with enthusiasm. 😀Narrate for your baby what you’re doing during daily routines and playtime, referring to yourself in the third person. You might say, “Mama is getting your bottle,” or “Dada’s turn; baby’s turn.” 📚Read books that feature families or tell stories while showing personal photo albums to your baby.
