Do you get any pain as well? It sounds like your saliva glands basically get excited…pain might indicate salivary gland stone though

I get this every now & then too! I always assumed similar to Nori's comment that it was my body rushing to salivate when I surprised it with snacks 😅

I’ve had this for years, it’s painful and annoying it has got worse. I have Horners syndrome and I think that’s linked to it.
