@realphdfoodie: Hi, my name is Angela. I started solo traveling internationally in 2023. I was born and raised in Beijing and moved to America as an international student 20 years ago. I never traveled outside the US or China because I was living my life for other people’s expectations and always prioritized never ending responsibilities and obligations. Somehow my life still didn’t turn out to be the way I had imagined. At one time I was depressed and almost didn’t see the point of living. My childhood dream was to visit Denmark because of all the Hans Christian Andersen fairytales I read as a kid. In 2023, I learned to love and prioritize myself and finally went on my first solo international trip to Denmark. I got to see the picture perfect Copenhagen in the rain, rode a pink bike all over the city, tried my first glogg, and visited my very first Christmas market in Nyhavn. It was a dream come true. Traveling to me is about self discovery, self growth, and learning. I feel part of me is healing. I have more upcoming solo international trips. I hope you join me on my journey.
