THE NUMBER ONE MISTAKE I SEE PEOPLE MAKE WITH THEIR NUTRITION: ✨Focusing on what foods to AVOID instead of what foods to INCLUDE in their diet✨ At the moment, it seems like the media & a lot of “influencers” want everyone to be scared of almost every food out there. Whether it’s seed oils, produce that isn’t organic, or even oats 🙄 While most of this information is misinformed or cherry picked data taken out of context at best, the trend of scaring people away from safe & accessible foods in the name of “health” is not very helpful for most folks. First of all, these messages, meant to scare us away from certain foods, add an unnecessary amount of stress in the lives of so many that are just trying to get food on the table for their families!  Second, these messages take the focus away from what foods we need to be including in our diet to support our overall health.  Focusing on adding nutrient dense foods to our diet is one of the best ways to improve the way we eat - and in some cases, including more nutrient dense foods may crowd out some of the less nutrient dense foods without us even having to focus on it 🤷🏽‍♀️  Either way, this way of thinking also tends to allow for a better mindset & relationship with food in the long run. Sounds like a win-win to me!
