I was told by a foundation specialist this is a big no due to mold and excessive moisture being kept in the block. Need outside waterproofing

would have been better to dig up outside and waterproof from the outside now the basement wall will be wet all the time anyway

definitely not, install weeper around the perimeter and install a sump pump is the only way👍
