After the color of the walls, drapes and shades are my most sought after info. Here are all the details I can think of! ROLLER SHADES - CUSTOM: Most of our shades are rollers to save cost & because they mostly disappear into their cassette when open. They are all the same light filtering fabric which is a similar to a linen with a chain for opening and closing. The exact fabric is Graber Riverbend Natural. ROMAN SHADES - CUSTOM: There were a few places I wanted the shades to remain partially open all the time, but add softness to the space. I always liked roman shades, but didn’t want anything too dark in color or that would block the light. We went with a paper-like woven material that reminds me of classic bamboo shades, but with a bit more subtle of a texture. They are all hand lifted - so no chain or motor. CURTAINS: Anywhere I can put curtains I did! I love the look of white linen curtains that puddle on the floor (then you don’t have to measure as much!). The curtains in the main floor are all true, lined linen, but upstairs we did faux, unlined linen to save costs. The white blends with the walls and adds softness and filters the sun coming through without any darkening. Technically all the curtains can close if we wanted to, but I usually keep them open and use the shades for privacy. I personally like full bunches of fabric on either side, so almost all our windows have 2-3 panels PER SIDE so they look nice & full. I didn’t want to spend all that money all upfront, so I bought them over time - but if you do that just be warned that the fabric color shade may vary from order to order due to dye lots and if you really need an exact shade (like me) you would want to order them all at once. All my curtains are hung with golden / brass colored rings on matching rods. You usually will need drapery hooks as well for hanging! #homedesign #homedecor #custombuilthomes
