And if that part fills you with unbearable misery, it's only a matter of time before that misery begins to infect other areas of your life... I've seen so many of my clients go through this over the years. (Though everyone has their own reasoning.) Some don't believe that there can be something better than what they already have. Some feel like they don't deserve anything better. Some want to feel like a martyr and "sacrifice" themselves for their wife/kids/family... Believe me when I tell you, there is NOTHING noble about being stuck in a downward spiral on purpose. Especially if that downward spiral affects how you show up in the rest of your life. Whatever your mental hangup, you need to get over it. Shun those thoughts! Don't let it get to the boiling point. Act now. If you're struggling, it's okay to ask questions or get help. It's impossible to know everything. But if you never eradicate those self-defeating thoughts and DARE to push forward, I can guarantee you that things will never improve.
