@askvinh: This is a common misconception I hear from many of my students. "Vinh if I speak a different way, that's inauthentic!" The truth is, every situation and interaction demands a different version of you, and if you go through life being just one way, you will feel resistance. Think of your voice like a piano with 88 keys. Right now you're playing with the same set of 5 keys. The goal is to learn how to play the entire 88 keys of the piano so now when you are in a unique situation, you know how to play different parts of your instrument to best serve that interaction! That to me is more authentic than just playing the same 5 keys for the rest of your life. Learn how to play your full instrument!!
