@brutamerica: This 8-week-old northern sea otter pup was found all alone and malnourished in Alaska. Now, he is munching on ice chips in the nursery of Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium. The pup, who does not have a proper name yet, was found in the remote town of Seldovia in October and taken to the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward. The SeaLife Center contacted Shedd Aquarium because they are one of the only facilities in the United States with the resources to care for rescued otters. After a cross-country trip, the fluffy brown sea otter pup arrived in Chicago at the end of November. The pup will stay in Shedd’s Regenstein Sea Otter Nursery for a few months before being introduced to the otter habitat and the five other otters at the aquarium, according to the Associated Press.
