Had a Kia optima 2015 i put 250k on it all I did was just check the oil every 2 weeks and full synthetic change at every 5k miles.

the owner manual even specifies 1 quart consumption per 1000 miles is normal. my 2012 would go through 5 quarts between changes

Had a Prius do that. Ate oil like crazy near 150k miles. They knew of problem. Wouldn’t pay to fix known problems

there wouldn’t be a recall for engine unless there ecu update. best they can do is take it too dealer and have them submit a PA and try for engine
