Speaking fast shows passion and enthusiasm whereas speaking slow highlights the importance of what you're saying. That's the simple rule! Important = slow down Not that important = speed up It's the transition between speaking slow and fast or fast and slow that creates engagement in people's minds and hooks them into what you say.
